~*hallo

ok the keyboard here in Germany is weird out...not quite used to it yet.

anyway, here i am in Dresden finally!

The flight from KL to Vienna was horrendous! having to endure a 12 hour flight while having flu, cough and slightly ever so feverish is not exactly the way i wanted things to start off...i couldn't enjoy half the meal they served. Especially since they served yummy cheese and...err cold bacon! So upon reaching Vienna is when i started to get rather nervous, since i had to take a connecting flight and trying to find my way through plus, the people in Vienna are not exactly very friendly! It's as though they've not been thought the usual courtesy on 'thank you' and 'welcome'...and i thought Malaysians were terrible at that, wait till you meet the hostile looking airport people in Vienna.

After checking my departure time for my connecting flight, i made my way to the borading gate...wahlao! lucky i decided to get over to the immigration early, cus the blardi boarding gate is so far away!...since it's a short flight, we had to walk a short distance to the plane instead of having that usual tunnel-like walkway...*brrrrr* cold!!!! By that time, i was already feeling the fatigue setting in! SO TIRED!!! I barely slept from my flight from KL to Vienna (and i thought my flu pill could zone me out!)...

The flight from Vienna to Dresden was uneventful, BUT the scenery below me was amazing!!! Finally landed in Dresden, i lugged 3 heavy bags out and got quetioned by the imigration in Dresden! LOL...he must be thinking i'm smuggling in something huge! Quickly, off i went into the ladies to change into my gear and there's one thing i realised about European toilets..they're all spanking clean! No water splotches anywhere...so nice! So yea, changed into my gear and headed out and a gust of winter wind blew into my face...*brrrr*...i was contemplating to take either the tram or the taxis nearby...and deceided the cab was the best idea since i was sooo exhausted by then! And the cabbies here are amazingly honest! I asked him if it's possible to get to Könisbrucker Strasse at 15 EURO...hah, he said, (in German mix English) 10-12 EURO also possible! haih, in KL sure kena slaughter by the cabbies! So i got into the grand cab and i was asked by the cab driver to strap on my seat belt...*paiseh*

Along the way to my destination, i was just in the cab, awed by the beauty of my surroundings! It hasn't started to snow heavily yet so that's good, cus i wanted to see the buildings without snow yet! And yea, the streets are amazingly CLEAN!!! After getting off at my stop, got myself properly registered and went through everything with short briefings on Dresden and the road maps and all the excursions available and finally i was driven to my accomodation!

I asked for a twin sharing room...and i got more than that...it is actually and entire apartment i'm sharing with another girl! And not merely just a room! And the building i live in dates back to the 1800's...creepy hor, but it's beautiful...we've got our own kitchen, dining, and tv area and our own bathroom and well, the room :P ... will share some pictures another day.

Took a long long stroll around my street yesterday...weather a little cold, but bearable...today, i'm planning on taking the tram down to other areas.

Okie that's all the update there is for today!
