~*EVENT-full 3 weeks

three weeks into working as an intern at ntv7 has not only proved to be tiresome, but also eventful. While the first week was downright stationary, the following week totally kickstarted everything! Functions and events just came rolling in! While i try to embrace the joy and the learning experience that came with it, i can't help feeling a tad bit ostracized from my love life! I could practically count the days i spent with my boy...like NONE! And he's one sport to understand the situation.

<img height=So there was the Starlight Cinema event which i went to. There's Amanda, the other intern, and
me. This was probably taken about 4 hours before the event started! The weather was humidly insane and we were sweating like pigs! And i can't bear to imagine another upcoming event at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club next week
*-_-* but then, there's Crys involved next week, so that should be heaps of fun, considering how we're so pissed off with our current partners! *eeek*

<img height= Then came the Great Malaysian Job Hunt at the Putrajaya International Convetion Centre (which i once mistaken for the Limkokwing campus!!) This is really an eye opener! You would never have thought there were hundreds of hopefuls vying to be presenters!!! we were having auditions for TV Presenters and Broadcast Journalists, the ammount of people attending was overwhelming, but the ammount of talent that came with it was DISSAPOINTING! It didn't help that Kenneth who sat beside me kept sniggering and giggling over the contestant's lack of talent! Imagine how hard it was for me to keep a straight face when i had to act all proper and say "Thanks for trying" and smile. So up there's a photo of 'us' after the event. From left, there's the News Presenters, Wan and Charles Mohan, me, Rohas, Dang Suria and the front row, my colleagues from my department.

The event i had most fun at was the Samba Rock Party held in conjunction with the Confederation Cup. We had Studio 2 set up for the live cross-overs and where the DJ can spin their stuffs while we party about strutting our styles, it was all fun! Though i was rather skeptical at first, i thoroughly had a good time.

<img height=There's Amanda, me and Tasha (you'll probably catch us on TV soon for a 30 seconder before show segment sometime next week!) and then there's Rock and Nurell. Rock's a funky dory person! total ethnic style!

<img height=here's the commentary section set up in Studio 2 on Wednesday night, where we had 2 sports commentators and some ang moh invited guests. If you can't see them in the picture, you're confirmed BLIND!

<img height=Amanda, Reuben and me in our so called 'Footie Party Gear'. Reuben's one of the very first few people who made all the interns feel comfy. While on normal days he'll be the one initiating conversations and small talks, that night i had to pull him down to the dance floor and oh boy, once he gets started, i swear someone had to make him STOP! We had some Venezuelen guests who were so into the samba-ing mood they started teaching everyone the moves and grooves. Shucks, if you'd seen this one guy, you'll think he's made out of springs! By 2 am, i was chuffed! If a bed materialised in front of me, i could have dropped dead on it! And my boss still refused to let me off. He'll bark "Shermz, back into Studio!"...Shermz?! that's a first! He pandai-pandai create name for me er! So it was into studio until i couldn't keep my lids up any longer only did he let me and amanda off at 3am. And he thought he was being generous to us.

<img height=<img height=Then there was an event yesterday which i got conned into attending! My smart boss, without informing me, told the organizers Amanda and i are attending the Triumph Bra Party at Beach Club at 10pm. Trust me, i was at boiling point when i got to know about it at lunchtime! I've already planned my Friday night around my boy and this came in. And i actually turned down the invitation to attend Wang Li Hom's concert in Genting with a Press Ticket (means can seat damn kau near the stage wan!!!) just to spend my Friday night with my boy. And this came sauntering in. *heck* then my boss made us take a walk down the guilt trip cus he knows forcing us the hard way would only result in us retaliating back! He went about us not being initiative and all *major guilt trip* ... so after we hung up the phone with him, i was terribly preoccupied with quotation and supplier details i couldn't even stop to think about the event till i got home and i went "SHIT! i have to go back to the station again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

anger has resided to one corner, what came next was fatigue! even then i still dragged myself all the way to the station where Tina (the very sweet darling in the picture with me), Amanda and a cameraman were waiting. So off we went to Beach Club and we were stationed at the most strategic point, right infront of the booming speakers, i swear i could feel my eardrums splitting! thank god i can still hear my keyboard clicketing away. But the Bra Party was not too bad. I had a good time knowing Tina (another intern from UiTM) from the News department, she's the sweetest thing! and we had fun doing all the vox-pox ;) ... huay pin should get this concept way too clear ;)

<img height= so while we chatted away after the bra launch, Tina and i decided to scooped ourselves some doorgifts! afterall, we covered an event for them, we should at least get something in return ;) *ngek* and they gave us each their new line of g-strings! changeable straps..see the hook there? cool. By the end of it, please pass me my bed, thanks!

<img height=Oh and how can i forget this classic picture of Crystal and I in the hotdog style pose! Here's what Mike was going on about. Ok, so this is supposed to be Crys' job but i can't resist a picture of myself with it...note here though i was only helping her do her rounds! ;)
