~*mind my manners

but merry christmas to all ;) i know i am like two days late, but it's always the thought that counts ;) ...

my merry christmas, incidentally, was very merry indeed ;) ... my aunt had a christmas gathering (for the first time, really) and i had all my cousins rounded up under the christmas-sy sky...my cousin and his wife (together with my nosy youngest brother) bbq-ed us all lamb chops (which everyone said was nice).. and i, having already had my dinner earlier (at Penang Village, chiams spotted my car there ;p) only munched on the salad, i think munch is a little underrated as i finished the entire salad bowl myself (and my cousin gaped at me saying "i think this is your 10th round of salad!")...

either ways, salad aside, the night continued with my church-going cousins belting out their rendition of countless christmas songs till the drizzle drove us all into the house ;) the best part of it all was Uncle John (my Uncle's close friend) and the guitar! He got my family singing all the oldies imaginable with my dad taking the lead (boy, did he sang to his heart content!). It was so much fun! I think we kept the neighbourhood awake with our singing, and clapping!

and of course, the gathering ended with us leaving with a gift (you know, the exchange gift system ;p) ... which was funny seeing how my silly cousins reacted with their gifts!

with all the good tidings and all came the tidal waves which rocked the beautiful coastline of Batu Feringghi! It was pretty much a shock, to see waves as high as 30 feet crushing the daylights out of so many people! and to have it happen to penang, which has a special place in my heart (",)...it's said to be the worst tidal wave (tsunami) in history and i think (i think only la) the horrors of "The Day After Tomorrow" will recreate itself...albeit in a slower process.
