~*drats!

I feel fine – meaning no signs of any ailments. But everyone’s commenting on how pale I look for the past 2 days.

Ok maybe I felt a little tired yesterday after running around town picking media gifts (wow tough job :P) and sort of cheated the day yesterday since I was out of office and left early, but I still looked ghastly.

Decidedly unperturbed by it, I showered and went for a Vietnamese dinner with him. With Christmas around the corner, and impending Christmas dinners and family get together at his side of the family, we went out to gather some gifts for the fun, happy gift exchange they have every year. And in the midst of picking goodies galore at Marks & Spencer, we overextended the purchases with delicious sultanas for ourselves.

Happy, contented and still nursing a bloated tummy, we arrived home to savor those biscuits over a cup of tea. (I don’t mind having some now actually :D)

And thereafter, I collapse in a heap on the couch and snoozed away for a couple of hours.

Last’s weekend’s escapade to Singapore was genius! All we did was eat and rested to high heavens!

It helped we had the GPS in the car (means I didn’t need to read maps, means less wrong turns, means no frustrations and no accusing each other of inability to read maps – ok I don’t read maps that badly, when the computer confused itself, I got us back on track with the map).

As usual, without the need to think, we had our Bak Kut Teh fix. That goes unsaid and it is universally understood when we’re there, we want those steamy pepper soup and our spare ribs, with yummy salted vegetable! The first bite into those ribs – bliss.

With a depleted bank account and an overcharged credit card, I banned myself from shopping.
