*brrr*

today's rather cold -2°C ...

yesterday, i myself out (got such thing ar?) to the other side of Dresden. I hopped on the tram on Linie 7 and it brought me all over to places that looked soooooo foreign to me! after several stops by the Altstadt, things started to look grimy and not at all too pretty. I passed along some areas that looked very ghetto-ish and the best part of all...i got myself stranded. The tram got to it's final point and i was all alone in the tram...the place was soooo quiet and heavy winter breeze were blowing. Chilled to my bones wei! Tram lady triend explaining to me but all she could speak was German and i kept telling her

"Ich spreche ein bischen Deutsch"
(i speak very little German)
-haha, maybe NON...

after getting back on the tram and headed back out to AltMarkt i was pretty much in a shopping mood! Dropped by the X'mas Market by AltMarkt and bought a Bratwurst which halfway through, i almost lost my hands! Ya, cus i refused to dig out my gloves hence having to eat in the cold weather which numbed the daylights out of my hands!

quickly gobbled the bratwurst up and headed into AltMarkt Gallerie (the shopping mall) and spent donkey hours in there browsing! I kept reminding myself to step put of the mall before i commit multiple shopping crimes...after what seemed like yonks, i dragged myself to the tram station, urrrgh, and ZARA HAD TO BE LAST SHOP BY THE MALL..obvisouly i went in la! Like who in the right mind wouldn't (applicable only for female) ...

the highlight of yesterday definitely had to be 'grocery shopping'

having the luxury of being extremely pampered in KL, grocerie shopping here appeared quite a shock to me.

after having my items stacked up at 'PLUS' (the grocer) i headed towards the counter only to realise everyone ahead of me actually brought their own bag/plastic bag/paper bag/paper box to fill up their purchase...the woman in front of me stashed her buys into her kid's pram!!

AND I...

grrr

i dumped everything into my trolley, pushed it out...and scrambled for paper boxes!
ADUHAI, i must have looked like a so-hai wei

after stacking my stuff into the paper box, the worst has yet to come.
i bought a bag of potatoes, 2 cartons of milk and juice, a bag of oranges, and a few other heavy bottled items..
Walking 2 blocks down to my street with the stuffs i bought... -_-
I so wish for a Malaysian styled grocery shopping!
a few ang moh gave me the *stares*
must have looked dead weird!
lucky a passerby stopped near my apartment and help pushed the heavy wooden door open for me (this freaking door is seriously heavy...and it's got this funny system with the twitching of the key before the door can be pushed open...almost got myself locked out on the first day!!)

yes, they're that serious about recycling!
i have to seperate my trash into 4 different section
PLASTIC
PAPER
GLASS
&
errr...plain rubbish la

dearest crsytal my love, hahaha, Bratwurst tu is a hotdog...u knw la Germans and their hotdog ... kekeke. Well it's not paper bag u know...it's a freaking PAPER BOX i was carrying. U wanna use a bag, either u bring ur own or u buy from them. No free bags :( u and ur winter dreams haiyoooo :) LÖL

annie: well, yea i tot i might as well be daring and do this crazy shit before i get too old for it :) and yea the bratwurst here is good.. esp when it's steaming hot. and yea i'll see if Berlin has gone footie crazy ok...cus now all the attn is on X'mas, and ZERO on World Cup..funny rite.

well s4ints, backpacking here is pretty convenient, i can say, which is why i'd wanted to be in an European country in the first place. There's been thoughts of getting my bum over to Prague (maybe) ...cus it's very accessible by train...however, the cost is not exactly cheap. But we'll see. :)
