~*signing out for good

I’m done…and it’s funny how I walked out of the station with an almost heavy heart…

My last day is anything but short of fun…ok, so I had some few remaining bits of work to finish up before I leave for good and not all that glamorous afterall eh ;p

By 6 p.m we were picture-frenzy! I was taking picture with everyone, and everyone were taking picture with everyone; even individuals were taking pictures of only themselves!!! *lol* and my boss caught the bug too and decided to join in the picture taking fun! [I shall post some pictures up later]

Seeing how out of control we were getting, boss summoned me and Amanda to skip off into the meeting room…this is when things got terribly sappy and I swear I could have cried if I wasn’t so busy recording the entire ‘Farewell Gathering’…my boss gave a speech on how much he appreciated us being around la-di-da, then everyone from the department had to give a speech too…and it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo sweet!

My boss rounded up everything by presenting us both a card each (which was sooo sweet cus EVERYONE left a message!)

In between work, I made cards for everyone in my department, and before they left for home they each received a nice lil cardie from me…which gained me all the “awwwwws” as I hugged all of them. I dropped my boss a card too, which he laughed at what I wrote and dumped it at one corner of his desk *hmmph! It took me time to make it ohkay!*

Then it was off to our individual meeting with my boss…I was first to go in…I placed my event proposal, my journal and my appraisal form on his desk for the last time ever as we sat and talked…he gave me pointers in life, praised my on my best points and qualities, thanked me for all the help I have contributed, told me about his past and what he’s planning for his future, quizzed me on MY future, made some silly jokes before he started to fill up my appraisal form.

And hey ho, I’m only an intern but it’s quite a challenge cleaning up my desk I tell you! I had sooooo many papers stacked up and i was going through everything before it went into the bin. Pack, pack, pack, pack, pack….

Boss then took us out for dinner at TGIF and it was so much fun! Amanda pretended it was her birthday and we got FREE dessert to go with dinner, and a whole load of “happy bday” and their rendition of “we will rock you” singing going on. Boss looked sooo gleeful as he clapped and tried to sing along! *lol* Crystal and I only managed to look on and laugh at the absurdity of it!

Aw man, I’m gonna miss waking up to get to work by 9, and everyone from ntv7 whom I have gotten along so well with! *darn* at times like these, you really wonder what is it that you want!

Gone are the days when I open my drawer to find a nice yummy crispy breakfast bar in my drawer (left by Crystal), or to hear Nurul singing obscenely sick songs, or to chill by the production room with Shannen, to bish-bash-bing-bang on fellow interns *teehee*, to hear my boss’s funny laugh, or to simply laugh my jaw off with Huai Lin’s silly remarks! (ok maybe I can still experience that last bit in college ;p)

But, really…it was sad, almost tragic when Crystal and I walked out of my department. We submitted back our access swipe card, so my boss had to swipe us out…as we walked out, we were kina drowned by the enormity of leaving the station.

It’s over, so just get on with life…
