i desperately need that kick to get me out of this slumber! i normally don't take this long but i actually took 7 hours to get my Client proposal-director treatment done! What is wrong with me??? i used to be able to write an entire treatment in just a few hours and i took 7 hours? well at least i got it done ;) so tht's the good part. i hope my lecturer buys my idea. i kinna thought it was quite un-cliche but my structuring was a little haywired...maybe i'll just work on it again later.
two days ago, my lecturer whisked us out of Journalism class to meet our client for our Corporate Documentary script. And our client is Tasputra Perkim, a NGO/Daycare centre for children with disabilities. I was already expecting the place to be small but comfortable with kids everywhere and unattended. Holy shit, i was soooooooooo wrong! It was a bangalow in the deepest recesses of Ampang Hilir next to a polo club and they have got nurses in uniforms who tend to the kids! They even have a physiotherapy room with all the equipments specially catered for physiotherapy. I trully never expected that! And the lady owner is sooooooooo spunky i absolutely admire her for her nobility and determination in making the centre a place to call home for all the disabled kids! I mean, chiams and i have been to some homes that houses kids with disabilities, but Tasputra was nothing like what we've seen. It was simply enlightening just sitting there listening to what she has to share. I really admire her determination and strenght. she really shows what a woman is capable of doing. She literally changes lives.
before we left, she insisted on a photograph of us.
L-R:- my white haired lecturer who likes to joke about his hair, Crystal, Veni, Grace (i think she's among the senior nurse of the place), Pn.Hajjah Elahi (the owner), Lebho and me
then it was back to class...so boring! had to watch a Corporate Documentary of KLIA (with empty stomachs!!)- which in my opinion was very very badly produced! Even if you watched it, you could have come up with better ideas! oh anyway, i got bored in the Screening Room and started snapping pictures of Veni's shoes and mine...
we rushed for a quick bite after our FTV class and hoped into our PR class and Veni being the queen of funny posses offered me this...
i look freaking unflattering!!!! this angle makes me look sooooooooo fat! *yuck* i should never trust Huai Lin with the camera!
then veni took on the white board...drawing stick figures of us...
1st attempt...not good...Veni's missing her legs!!!! And i look soooooooooo small! WTF??
2nd try ... looks promising
finishing touches
final product...i still look like shit...kinna scary if u ask me! And veni has bulging eyeballs! Geez! veni shall never attempt to draw ever again!
