yesterday was the last day of Chinese New Year...and we had lion dancing in our living room ;) ...
yea dad invited (meaning: PAY) a lion dance troupe to perform...as usual, loud percussions woke the entire neighbourhood (we had it at 8am...for any normal person, they'd be awake, for me it's really an effort!) and little kids by the playground ran across the street to my house to watch it.
climbing high...and it's scary seeing the guy climb up so high!
lion head
classes are so boring these days, the first few days are hardly considered classes, no kick! ... but my Film & TV classes are nice, i happen to have a very experienced lecturer teaching and he's fun (albeit a little old-but definitely beats my previous semester's!) ... he makes silly jokes at the end of the class just to cheer us up before we leave ... *how nice* ;)
the weather!
the weather is terrible!!!...one day, i'm so gonna be fried by the sun! and it's no help that i park so far away from college (in the scam for saving parking fees and just being plain stingy abt it!LOL). So crys and i will just have to walk and walk and walk under the sun before we reach to the point of pure exhaustion! ... since campus moved over to Cyberjaya, cardigans, sweaters, jackets (no matter how stylish they are) are a no-no! the idea now is to keep it as little as possible...which also translates itself into less clothes, more skin!...and i couldn't agree more! i'm beginning to toy with the idea of wearing shorts (but i know i wont cus i have thighs that are to be remained hidden!)
it's horrendous to be so old in class these days...Veni, Crystal and I were in our very first Journalism 111 class the other day (JRN 111 are mostly for the Year 1 Semester 1 students, but we took it as electives) ... so yea, the lecturer delivered her welcome note:-
"Welcome to JRN 111, i believe all of you here are in Semester 3, or rather Year 1 Semester 1 student. Any seniors in the class?"
Three hands made its way up.
...veni...me...crystal...
"What semesters are you three in now?"
SEVEN ... in unison we answered ...
while the rest gawked as us! we were just 'ancient'!
and we feel ancient! but it's nice to be way senior than them...total control, a sense of superiority! lol!!!
