~*crichton itch

I have this bad bad itch to fish my Michael Crichton from my hand bag and to finish off the book while working!

I was so engrossed; I read it all the way on my flight to Kuching and back yesterday.

Eye sore from the dryness and lack of sleep (as I woke up at 5am to make it in time), I continue to squint through the pain to read while I conveniently spilt food on my lap as the blardy cheap MAS breakfast box lurched itself from the table and onto my jacket and jeans! *swears*

Clearly embarrassed, I picked up the limp ham and cheese and tried to act nonchalant while my ‘flight neighbor’ offered me his napkin, which I turned down, underestimating the severity of my blunder – serve me right for reading while eating!

But I can’t help it. It‘s such a blardy good book! I’m hooked!

Don't you love it when a book grabs hold of you and you can't wait to get back to it?

If you are enthralled with the Crichton novel, let me suggest something else for you: Unholy Domain by Dan Ronco. It's a great tech thriller you should enjoy: lots of conflict between those who embrace technology and those who want to turn back the clock, a young man on the track of his father's murderer, a computer virus and some other great plot twists.

I think Dan Ronco is the best tech thriller writer since Crichton, in fact. Give him a read.
