~*manupulating a weekend

The week progressed brilliantly. And this post would be a segmented piece :)

We jetted off to Penang (it has almost become and inaugural event, next to Singapore) and basked in each other for almost a week in this amazing hotel along Gurney Drive. The traffic was smooth, the drive was sweet, and the company was perfect! It feels really good to have almost a week off to ourselves.

As we sat gazing into the ceiling in the middle of the room over the weekend, we realized there is going to be so much to work on! Tearing down certain pieces, there will be the paint jobs to carry out and where do we even begin? It has been over a year of procrastination and we are finally making that one step towards starting. This will be an interesting project and I suspect it will be both very rewarding at the same time terrifying!

As we proceed to leave, we were ambushed with a rather surprising statement that was meant to both tease and to dig information. There are times in a day where you know being clever and discreet will save you a lot of explanation.

As dinner time progressed, I was adamant to make a change in our dining pattern. I took the troupe to El Cerdo, the place I have made many visits to only to be disappointed by the amount of reservations made and never had the chance to try. We got lucky over the weekend and dinner was lovely. We were seated at a quiet corner to ourselves; the host cleverly planned our orders with many of his ingenious suggestions and we had amazing conversations around the table. I thought dinner was genius. Parents were hesitant but willing to try, siblings were thrilled with the experience and they better had a good time because I paid crazy money for it!

Why do people want to spend a lifetime together? And it is as simple as wanting to seize the opportunity in every second of the lifetime to show appreciation and love because there is never going to be enough time or opportunity.
