BACK!

toured Neustadt last Friday and i did not find it fun. One - cus the weather was being a bitch. Two - cus we had to walk yonks .. ok so well, only two...it was freezing by the time it was evening and Pedro kept dragging us on and on and on and on by the Altstadt till my fingers fronze up. Another friend of mine had to beg for him to stop ... which we did and we found FIRE!!! we sat by the fire and warmed ourselves while i got myself a steaming bowl of potato soup.

later that evening, we went to 'Antik KUNST Cafe' (Antique Cafe)...and by golly..the place is amazing. The entire cafe is below ground and it was wholly decorated with antique-y stuffs! So we were all sitting and dining on antiques..swell...but all we had were beers! The Radeberger beer.

went to Freiburg with a bunch of friends by train last Saturday...the scenery along the way was absolutely breathtaking! But once we got there, it started to drizzle, which was not very grand. We walked along the streets of Freiburg under the rain...thank goodness the Mining Museum came into view soon after.

Truthfully, I don't think Freiburg is interesting...
maybe we missed out on the better spot?
I guess the entire time, i only enjoyed the Yatch Club Lounge...

Yesterday's highlight of the day was fantastic...

what i did was...well, early in the morning, i set out at 9 am thinking i'll walk down to Theaterplatz to fit in some photography session since i've not taken anything with my SLR since i got here...so there i was...i walked and walked and walked and i was just taking in the magnificent view when i got to the Elbe river by the bridge...All i wanted to do yesterday was just to take pictures and visit the Semper Opera House...instead, i bought myself a day ticket and went museum hopping with the map they provided.

how good can the day get! It's pretty much the way i would define a good day for myself.

i went to the Old Master's Gallery situtaed inside the Zwinger (a large ground built for the Prince's pleasure = like for him to take walks and held party i guess)...and well, the Old Master's Gallery was breathtaking! I spent a total of 2 hours++ just browsing their extensive art collection which dates back to the 15th Century....i probably sat by the 'Sistine Madonna' by far the longest cus i was enthralled by it...simply enthralled by it...

well, the entire day was spent Museum hopping! I went to a grand total of 6 museum before i got exhausted cus they were all situated at different areas and i had to navigate my way around. Was planning on visiting another 2 museums...but i accidently went round the wrong street and was too tired to walk back the other direction and was too lazy too walk to the tram...

so i bought myself a Fish Fillet Bun and got lost.

yea, cus smart me decided to walk off the main streets and weaved around the buildings and got lost. And i was so freaking tired by then...my legs ached and all i wanted was to go home. After walking aimlessly with the bun in my hands for half an hour, i saw the TRAM!

ahhh GodSent!

quickly hopped on it and came back...of course i had to be stupid again and stopped at the wrong stop cus i wanted to stop by the Christmas Market at Albertplatz (yea yea i know, i am supposed to be tired)

generally, yesterday was by far the best day i had...it's alway been a dream for me to go museum hopping...i know it does sound a little lame since the trend is to go bar hopping...but Museums are like MY idea of a good time (however lame it sounds ok) if only my boy was with me, it would have made it all so much more lovely since we're both into the artsy-culture thing *aihh*
