studying thoughts

Naturally, when I'm studying, my thoughts tend to wander. **Arghh** hehe.

I did not spend much quality time with my late maternal grandmother, due to the fact that she was all the way in Butterworth, and my family only went up once a year usually during Chinese new year. She did visit us occasionally in KL as well, but due to my limited Cantonese vocabulary, our conversations were limited to “Popo, sek fan (a form of Chinese courtesy)”, or some other casual short conversations. However, I do remember that she was a very strong lady, in a mindset way. I remember she traveled to Australia, China and a few other countries herself, without my grandfather, without worrying about her old age, or the long flight as others of her age would. She took photos and showed it to us, buying boxes of fruits and vegetables to distribute to her children and grandchildren. Looking at my own mother now, I definitely can see some strong heritage traits in her as well. In how she managed to be such a capable housewife and maintain a working job simultaneously, and now that she has retired, my mom is getting hi-techie by researching for innovative recipes online as well as downloading the newest dance stepsheets for her ‘line dancing career’ development. *just kidding*. Hehe.

Ah, I hope I have inherited some these invaluable traits.

And why am I blogging now when I have to study!!! **argh** I even wrote a testimonial for a friend. **argh argh**
