~*birthday

my boy turned a year older!
*weeee*
and i got so excited over everything!
it's so fun celebrating someone's birthday and making all sorts of arrangements!

so on the eve of his birthday
i spent the entire day out with him
we had lunch at a Ipoh stall
caught a movie
had a fulfulling dinner (not the real deal yet;p)
and i took him to see fabrics! (*arh?)
which he got really bored off
then i went and fetch the CAKE!

i got hold of everything and set up the birthday cake

there's the cake i got him...all fruity
cus we had some kick ass milky-butter dinner coupled with curry, we were filled to the brim!
so annie said, fruity cakes are great for after dinner... ;)

(all pictures from here onwards are manually taken - bad lighting calls for manual to take chage. so they're either going to look good or real bad ;p)

(these are overexposed = BAD)

after the wishes were made, candles all blown out, cake destroyed and stomach yelling for us to stop eating, i surprised him with his gift which i'd kept in my beg for the entire day!!!!!

and here's the process of him unwrapping his gift!

So fun!

and he was sooooo happy i could cry!

he was like melting ice cream when he saw the little piece of artwork lying at the bottom of the box...he squeled and came around to hug me *aawwww*

so there.

He's happy and i'm glad he loved my gift!

then on his birthday itself, i made reservations for dinner
at Tamerind Hill
and i spent another day out with him.
and by far the most lovely day i had!
we spent an hour browsing books in our same old quiet manner
then it was over to Petronas Art Gallery cus they had some photography collection on display (so so so beautiful!!)

Tamarind Hill was up next on our agenda
it's situated in this very secluded place in KL
up on this little hillside
in a colonial bungalow
nesting among a tiny jungle
with tiny waterfalls
and, and...
*sigh* i'm in love with the place!
And trust me, i had to practice self control just to make sure i don't go picture taking frenzy! or else, i'd just skip dinner altogether!

here are a few pictures of Tamarind Hill

tiny oil lamps line the walkway that leads up to the restaurant
(taken on my way up)

the walkway is very maze-like...makes you feel like you're in a castle!
(taken on my way down)

an amazing place!

I thoroughly enjoyed the meal too...
if you're a big Thai cuisine fan, you'll adore this place
my boy loved the place and *yay* i made him happy once again!
haha, he had to pay for dinner

oh and i'll like to thank MY lil gang of primates for wishing my boy!
and Vni, i did not teach you to be rude ok!
next time, MUST say *bye bye* wan ok. ;)
