a load of my shoulders just *poofed* into thin air today :D i just don't know why, but my advert and promo presentation was making me so nervous, way unlike my usual self! was it because it was to a new tutor who is much much more critical than the previous one? but i guess it went well, she said overall it was good, except for some improvements here and there. :D And, we handed in our progress report today as well, so YEAH! i feel lighter today...but i have a premonition that this is only a temporary feeling :( it will end in about.......2 days. sob. many more assignments due!
actually, i have a confession. i am jealous of sher. and her pics!! why is she just so good at these stuffs? or am i just bad. i blame it on the software..haha. its just that i don't have the software she's using right?? and perhaps because she really puts in the effort to crop and contrast and whatnot. hhehe. keep it up gal!
hm so yeah, i went on a mini road trip with 3 of my college mates during the past mid sem break. This is my first 'actual' road trip i have been on and it turned out pretty great! *those times where you travel with parents when ur a kiddy not counted laa..* we started out by gathering at marina's crib *as she likes to call home, haha* , and my bag was the biggest among all! why does this always happen? haha, even when i went on the Tioman trip with baby, my bag was the 'hugest', and i was smallest size there. *shy-nye* haha! so yeah anyway, we loaded up and set off in Marina's MPV, which her mom kindly loaned us for a comfortable trip! after picking Michael up in Subang, we headed off to our destination, Paradise Lagoon Apartments in Port Dickson.
We reached there in about 2 hours, and after checking in, we zoomed off the Malacca, our next destination! It was interesting to visit Malacca again, visiting historical sites, and yes we did the ol' A Famosa and Stadhuys Building stuff. Hehe! but the highlight of the trip was Jonker Walk! Maybe its just the urban girl in me, but i really enjoyed the somehow 'authentic' feeling of walking through the pasar malam lookalike, selling lotsa droolicious food! they also had a huge stage setup for ah paks to karaoke on stage *hm* hehe, sher you interested?? i can bring you there k, *wink* there was also this man, who apparently could poke his finger through a coconut without any apparatus or tricks! haha, we stayed for awhile near his booth and he was showing off his fire eating and bone cracking skills *ouch* sounds painful. hehe. but we didn't stay long enough to watch the coconut poking trick tho, we rushed off the malacca parade to buy groceris for our bbq dinner the next day! and ohyeah, we ate satay celup for dinner! not superb, but well, different i guess :) we went back to PD to stay for the night after rounds of Cho Tai Ti, which See yi lost consecutively, and yours truly being the winner. ahax!
The next day was super chilling day, we didn't do anything actually. Just walked around the PD beach and took endless amounts of photos. :D Fun. At night, sigh, our bbq dinner was pretty much a disaster. We wanted to barbecue in our windy balcony, and therefore used the apartment's GLASS table to place our disposable bbq pit on. HUGE MISTAKE of course. But we were too eager to bbq to realise. Sigh. next thing we knew, *PpPprrAaaNNGGGggg!!!!* i was sitting next to then-glass table, and i was still trying to comprehend what just happened. The glass had cracked, but thank goodness the part where the bbq pit was on top was still in tact. and the next thing i knew, Michael pointed out "Cass! Your leg!!!" aiks, bleeding! it was a small but deep cut, so i went to the bathroom to wash the wound. i saw my blood dripping from the balcony all the way to the bathroom. Eek! My darling friends drove out to the pharmacy to buy dettol, antiseptic cream and plasters for me. So in the end, we ended cooking all the raw food that we had using the stove and pots which they provided. hah!
the next day we had lunch in seremban, and *poof* we were back in kl.
hehe, so that's how my lil holiday went. i gtg for now. shall blog later. adios ~
