the day passed by very slowly, or maybe i went about things too fast ... well either ways, it's definitely good...by having longer days, we get to do more things right? provided of course, you don't get up late, which i did...
and i arrived at veni's place 30 minutes earlier than i was supposed to, and there i was rushing to her house thinking i was late. Veni had a Chinese New Year luncheon y'see, and i went, and because i was early i had to mingle with her family and by the time the 'friends' arrived, i'd already lunched off and was chilling out in front of the tube with Veni's dad! so much for a together-gether luncheon! if only i had more to crap earlier, i wouldn't have gone to her house so early!
i came home pissed off cos i couldn't find the damn Astro guide! I began to sweat, the heat is so unbearable these days, it seems to blanket you wherever you go! And the more i sweat, the more pissed off i became...
i hid myself in my air-con room after giving up searching for the stupid guide, and remembering Valentine's just a around the corner and i still haven't made my card, i snapped out of my brutal pissed off mood into generating ideas full swing! and i came up with this! :-
a purple with gold dust treated paper over an off white textured cardboard (that textured cardboard costs me a whopping RM13.80!)...that is just the cover ;) ... overlay are two smaller pieces of coloured paper which i literally wrote an essay! hahahaha...i'm surprised i even finished it today! that made me feel good...i usually take a week to get something like this done, but i'm not complaining that i finished it today :)
i watched In The Mood For Love again yesterday...*bliss*...there's so much to this movie it blows your mind!
It's slow, yes
It's boring, to a certain extend, yes
It's draggy, yes
It's confusing, yes, the first time
but watching it again yesterday really brought out all the beauty the movie possessed! it's like having all those dark clouds lifted off! It's one of those slow masterpieces, everything is picturesque in the movie...down with that, the story tells of infidelity, jealousy, longing, and love, all shown daintily through only two actors without a single scene of kissing or any other intimate acts! There's a lot of beauty to this film.
I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone though, unless you have the patience of a jumper knitter, lovers of the 60's era Chinese, a quaint liking for slow movies, obsessive Tony Leung worshipper or plainly just looking for ways to belong to the 'artsy' Wong Kar-Wai world.
i've yet to watch "2046" again before i shower it with compliments/criticism ;P .. but generally, i big leap from how Chow was in "In The Mood For Love" :( ...not entirely bad i guess...
rights, tomorrow is yet another day, i just have a feeling it's going to be a nice lazy Sunday ;) now that Chinese New Year is behind us, no more shopping for CNY stuffs on Sundays!!! YAY!!! imagine having to dedicate 4 Sundays in a row to get your CNY stocks properly laid out?! yikes!
