~*gong hei fatt choy ar!

this is the time of the year where little chinese kids are at their best - not in behaviour, but in the joy they find in the celebration of the Chinese New Year. In their simplicity, they find the most joy to be celebrated, their world for this very day seems to be made out of massive junk food, colas, finger food, laughters, and of course Ang Paus! How i wish i share half their enthusiasm...Today i only managed to munched on 3 rice crackers, one packet of lemon tea, i cup of longan herbal tea (homemade wan!) and some dinner prepared by Auntie Fatty (ya, we call her Fei Ah Yee - Fatty Auntie ;p dun ask me why, she was crowned this name way before i was even born). The ammount of makanan i makan is far from comparison to what i could have chowed down 10 years back! The novelty of Chinese New Year is definitely wearing off ;(

but tradition is kept. The eve of chinese new year will never change and i like the fact that i have the most fun on the eve, we'll have our reunion dinner together, then followed by the preparation for the Choi San prayers (my dad is culturally traditional!).

dinner!
