the last day of 2004

i started the last day of 2004 with an act of compassion by donating 1500 ml x 5 dozen of mineral water in the aid of the Tsunami victims. although i know my amount is little by comparison, the least i can say is that i felt compelled to help, even if my amount is little...my 90 000 ml of clean water will be in Sri Lanka by now ;) and i sure do hope it helps a small number of people who needs. it really is the least i can do...i sure ain't loaded enough to be donating money ;p

after getting my liters of water into storage before it sets on its journey to Sri Lanka, i treated my boy and myself to some sumptuous Nasi Kandar at Kanna Curry House in..err..near Lisa DeInn...sure bombed my wallet flat! hahaha...but it's not often i pay for meals, so i definitely felt good paying this time. Plus, the food was good! mmmmm~~~~

then, later in the evening, like around 7pm, my boy and i headed to Holiday Villa in Jalan Ampang to usher in the New Year with his colleagues...which at first started out really fun (and funny) but later turned a little sour (too many drag queen shows!hahaha) and up there you get to see my boy in a pair of funny specs! looks ridiculous but everyone was wearing it, for fun of course, not by force ;p

the year definitely started off bleakly without the appearance of fireworks...we were hoping for some fireworks to greet the mourning sky, but i don't think the act would have been appropriate...halfway through the celebration, i was actually feeling guilty that i was having so much fun while there are people out there who are struggling just to live by one more day without food or clean water.
