~*penang fullstop! Day 1

DAY 1

penang fullstop! haha like the television ad that is going on NTV7 ... yes, yes, yes, just right after my previous post of Little Penang Kafe and my total obsession with everything Penang, i headed up north to Penang the very next day!...just as Chiams returned from Perth, wat luck, i barely see her these days!

so anyway, Penang was gloriously fun...as always! i was there for a 4 days and i stuffed myself so much with all sorts of Penang food (even when i am already full, i tried to make space to consume more...and i think i have developed an elastic tummy now!)

the first day i was there, which was nearing dinner time already...my food intakes were:-

the steamboat style was rather different from those i have seen in KL, over in Penang, they use the olden days type of steamboat bowl (??) which uses charcoal to boil the soup! oh i absolutely love food cooked using charcoal, the food really taste better! My father (in the picture above) looks on in amazement as the little blue fan beside it blows air into the charcoal area. And we had fun (especially my younger siblings) boiling our own food in the steamboat bowl ( i really dunno what you call them!)
